The President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, (PHCCIMA), Dr. Emi Membre-Otaji, has pledged to boost the local economy by encouraging small and medium enterprises across the state.

Speaking at Elekahia Stadium, which will be the venue of the 2015 Port Harcourt International Trade Fair billed to start on Monday, the PHCCIMA boss said several talented persons in the state lack the privilege and connection to explore their businesses, and therefore, assured that he would give such people the platform to rise and contribute to the economy during and after the trade fair.

He urged all the Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) including artisans, tailors, basket makers, broom dealers among others, to register their business in their various local government areas as their documents would be forwarded to the chamber for further empowerment.
