THE Rivers State Police Command yesterday paraded suspected kidnappers and armed robbers, vowing to track the abductors of a columnist with the Vanguard Newspaper, Ms Donu Kogbara.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo told journalists yesterday in Port Harcourt that with the success story recorded so far since his assumption of duty last Thursday, the veteran journalist would soon regain her freedom.

He, however, expressed worry over the incident.

The police chief said the command was pained by the unfortunate scenario, assuring that the force would apprehend the fleeing bandits and rescue the victim unconditionally.

“We feel the abduction of your colleague the way you feel it. Her abduction is a challenge to all of us,” Kimo stated.

The CP, while parading the 15 suspects, who were involved in kidnapping, armed robbery and cultism, disclosed that the command, under his watch, would focus on sustained tackling of “nauseating violent crimes in the state and mop up arms and ammunition from miscreants”.
