THE Delta State Police Command has declared wanted two suspected principal actors in last Friday’s ‘invasion’ and looting of the Warri Shoprite (Delta Mall) complex by armed hoodlums numbering over a hundred.

The duo are: Baro Henry, suspended Chairman of Uvwie Local Council and Napoleon Odibu, Chairman, Central Motorpark, Effurun.

The police have equally promised a reward of N1 million to whoever could provide useful evidence that would lead to the arrest of both suspects.

The Delta State police commissioner, Alkali Baba Usman, said when the mall was under attack, patrol team mobilised to the scene, and the miscreants on sighting the policemen took to their heels.

However, one Godspower Ijoesgaga was arrested.

The hoodlums smashed glass doors and carted away laptops, handsets and other valuables from the mall.

The police chief said the hoodlums were allegedly hired for a mischievous mission by Henry and Odibu, who are allegedly on the run.

According to the police boss, the crisis was allegedly an offshoot of an altercation the suspended chairman (Henry Baro) had with two Naval men outside the Shopping Mall, which led to the invasion of the mall by the hoodlums

The hooligans, according to the police chief, embarked on protest along some streets in Warri, shooting sporadically and in the process, one Afor Emero was hit and killed by stray bullets.

Meanwhile, the embattled Uvwie Local Council chairman declared wanted by the police said he was a victim of a power drunk naval officer.

He claimed that the Naval Officer, Mr. Rex Bogoadjera, attached to the Delta Shopping Mall as security agent came after him while he was settling an issue of his car brushed by a hit and run truck driver.

He claimed that since the commissioning of the Delta Shopping Mall he had not stepped into the complex.
