Pharmacists condemn Adeyeye’s kidnap, appeal for improved security
PSN in a statement signed by the President, Ahmed Yakasai, said: “We at the PSN condemn this most morally despicable act which continues to portray some of our major cities as unsafe places for health providers in recent times.
“We must take advantage of the protests by pharmacists in Ondo State to appeal to Governor Olusegun Mimiko, to personally intervene to guarantee the safety and prompt release of this woman who was probably kidnapped on the assumption that pharmacists and healthcare providers are money-bags.
It is important to reiterate that pharmacists are mere hardworking and diligent professionals who are guaranteed the essential things of life through service delivery wherever they find themselves. We, therefore, appeal to the kidnappers to release this woman who is an innocent widow on purely compassionate grounds.”
