Peter Okoye’s dance audition holds in Benin

THE next audition of the Globacom-sponsored dance reality show, Dance with Peter, holds today in Benin City, the Edo State capital.

Billed for the Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre, Airport Road, dancers from the ancient city and environs will slug it out for the tickets up for grabs from the region.

The audition train will then move to Bamako Studios in Ojodu, Lagos on Tuesday, September 8, when the best dancers from the South West will be selected.

The 13-week dancing competition is championed by the sensational African dance prodigy, Peter Okoye, the twin brother and partner in the multiple award-winning musical group, P-Square.

Dancers from all over Nigeria and Ghana are competing for the grand prize of a brand new Toyota RAV 4, N3 million and an opportunity to feature in P-Square’s next music video.

The first and second runners-up go home with a brand new Honda Civic car with N2 million and a brand new Kia Rio car with N1 million respectively. Each of them will also have the chance to feature in a top Glo Ambassador’s music video.

The Abuja leg of the auditions held August 28 at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, before the train berthed in Accra, Ghana where another set of finalists was selected.

The finalists from the various regions will then be pitched against one another other in a fierce supremacy battle that will last for weeks and be beamed to Nigerians via their television sets.

The contest is open to individuals from all dance backgrounds, either performing solo or as a group.
