PDP in Kogi berates Bello over reversal of cabinet dissolution

The Kogi State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday teased Governor Yahaya Bello for exhibiting juvenile delinquency in governance by reversing his action in dissolving the state executive council and the council administrators in the 21 local councils within a jiffy.

The party said the governor’s rigmarole in decision-making on sensitive issues that affect the lives of the people of the state was a hallmark of his administration brazen ineptitude and cluelessness.

In a statement signed by its Director, Research and Documentation, Achadu Dickson, in Lokoja, the party said the weekend drama had once again reinforced the party’s position that Bello is not fit to govern the state.

“The last two years of Bello’s administration have been characterised by inconsistencies in policy making and the weekend drama has proven once again that the governor is not in charge and does not have a mind of his own to govern a complex state like Kogi,” the statement read.

Governor Bello had on Sunday dissolved the state executive council and other political appointees, especially the 21 local council administrators, but reversed his decision few hours after.

As the news broke out from the meeting held at the Government House that the governor had directed all commissioners and the local council administrators to hand over the keys of their official cars to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Arike Ayodele Folashade, the spokesperson to the governor, Kingsley Fanwo, told newsmen that Bello had reversed himself as he returned the commissioners and the administrators, warning them to cultivate better working relationship between them and the masses.
