PDP flays APGA’s accusation over INEC office fire
ABIA State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Emma Nwaka, has described Sunday’s fire that gutted the Obingwa council office of the Independent National Electoral Commission at Mgboko as unfortunate.
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, however, he queried All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) allegation that the PDP was responsible for the incident. Nwaka said: “Our query is why APGA should take over the duty of the police and other security agencies in deciding who to blame for the fire.”
ccording to Nwaka, the PDP is not under any threat to warrant burning the INEC office because Obingwa has been its stronghold over the years. More so, its candidate and winner of the poll, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, is from the council.
