Osun releases N500m to LAUTECH
The Osun State government has released the sum of N500m to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State for its continued existence.
A statement signed by Head, Public and Admin Relations Unit of the institution, Lekan Fadeyi, said the largesse released on Friday was in fulfilment of promise made by Governor Rauf Aregbesola last week.
While receiving members of the Governing Council and Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin, penultimate Saturday, the governor explained that Osun State is committed to the welfare of staff and students of the institution.
He told the visitors that on no occasion had the state shied away from its responsibility to the university.
