OGUN State Government has commended the Globacom’s comedy, music and drama show, the Glo Laffta Fest designed by Globacom for its esteemed subscribers as an initiative that will promote harmony, reduce stress and teach good citizenship in the society.

This was the conclusion of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Taiwo Adeoluwa and others present at the Glo event organised for residents of Abeokuta at the OK Events Centre, Ibara Housing Estate.

The SSG said he was happy that Globacom brought the show to Ogun State, adding that Laffta Fest had added value to government’s programmes as represented by various performers who condemned vices in their jokes.

“Globacom is doing remarkably well in Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and we are very proud of Dr. Mike Adenuga.  A gathering like this is very good as it encourages our youth to invest their time in worthwhile ventures rather than vices like cultism,” the SSG said.

A dancing competition organised to delight the crowd was won by an HND 2 Accounting Student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Olamide Olabode, and a Real Estate agent, Adedayo Ogunyemi.
