Ogun calls for stakeholders support on family planning services.
The Ogun State Family Planning Advocacy Working Group (FPAWG) has implored various Stakeholders on health to establish more public/private partnership support to strengthening and expanding Family planning and other reproductive health care services in the state.
The secretary of the Advocacy Group, Rev. Olajide Odugbemi who made the call at a forum in Abeokuta, said that the State has the chance to increase her Contraceptive Prevalence Rate (CPR) currently at 21.5% to 30.9% by the end of year 2015 also to 52% by year 2018.
According to him, the tendency for Ogun State to meet these targets require adequate finance, technical investments and support from the policy makers at the State and Local Government levels, Non-governmental organizations, Development partners, Multi-National companies, Religious and community leaders and the general public.
