President Muhammadu Buhari

A former member of the House of Representatives yesterday applauded them Buhari led administration over the implementation of the whistle-blowing policy.

Nwoko who spoke to reporters in Abuja remarked that he was fulfilled by the implementation of the policy, which he initiated as a bill entitled the Public Funds Recovery and Reward Commission’s bill when he represented Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House between 1999 and 2003.

He however expressed hope that government would successfully extend the whistle-blowing policy to arms and other areas that require urgent national attention.

Faulting claims that the anti-graft campaign was selective, he maintained that the Buhari led administration have been able to lay a solid foundation on the issue for future generation of leaders to build on.

He also said suspected looters who dump their opposition parties for the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) would not deter government from prosecuting and punishing them.

Nwoko did not mince words in reminding the nation that he initiated the Public Fund Recovery and Reward Commission Bill, which according to him translated into the whistle-blowing policy.
