The Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has recovered two cartons, containing suspected hard drugs, the state Commandant, said on Monday in Dutse.

The Commandant, Mr Muhammad Gidado, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the items were recovered on Sept. 5, in Malammadori Local Government Area.

Gidado said the items were recovered after three men, suspected to be hard drug dealers abandoned them and escaped.

“We received information about the presence of three men suspected to be illicit drug dealers in Malammadori town; but they took to their heels as soon as they noticed the arrival of our men.

“However, we were able to recover the two cartons of hard drugs they abandoned,” he said.

Gidado explained that the drugs recovered were Tramol and Exol tablets

The commandant told NAN that the items were handed over to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), in the state for further action.
