The Imo State Government officials have arrested some students of the Emmanuel College, Owerri cult related activities, the Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has disclosed.

Briefing journalists in Owerri on Wednesday, Okorocha said the security agencies were handling the matter, adding that they would be made to face the law accordingly.

Though he did not mention the names of those arrested, according to him, their arrests were made possible by officials of special squad constituted by the state government to move around the schools in the 27 Local councils of the state to fish such cult members.

He said government would no longer tolerate such alarming rate of escalation of the menace in the state, warning parents to train their children and wards, adding that henceforth, government had taken security problems in the state serious.
