OYO state governorship candidate of the Accord Party (AP), Senator Rashidi Ladoja has assured that all his electioneering promises would be fulfilled if elected in next month’s election in the state.

Describing himself as a man of his word, Ladoja said it is a crime against humanity for any politician to make promises they do not have the intention of honoring to win elections, saying he does not belong to that class of politician.

A statement by his campaign’s Director of Public Communications Akanmu Adeyanju, quoted Ladoja as saying that false promises made by the ruling party has become a burden onthe administration pointing out that this explain why so much money is being spent on propaganda while essential services are paralyzed in the state.

Ladoja remarked, “marketing strategy only works for good product as the product will market itself. If it is a bad product no amount of hype will improve its acceptability”

He hinted that the present situation in the state could be traced to the false promises made to the people adding that this is why the people are clamoring for a more experienced person to take over the helms of affairs in the state.

He accused the state government of turning excuses and lies into achievements having failed to implement and fulfill the promises he made before and after he became governor of Oyo state.

He listed the plethora of unfilled promises to include his failure to pay the minimum wage and regular salaries to public servants in Oyo state, the massive failure of the Ibadan beautification policy and all the agencies that went it.

Others are uncompleted dual roads in Oyo, Iseyin, Ogbomoso, saki, the poor shabby job of the challenge-Lagos express road, abandoned university of Technology and the Five star hotel, the collapsed educational and health sectors in Oyo state and hardship brought on artisans through uncontrolled tax policies, wastages of public funds on second hand agricultural tractors which have become grounded few months after purchase.

The Accord flag bearer said he is a tested and trusted leader who fulfilled all the promises he made to the people of the state between 2003-2007 saying the records are there.

He urged all eligible voters in Oyo state to come out enmass for the forth coming general elections in March and April and vote massively for all Accord Candidates.
