Nigeria mining week begins October 16

Stakeholders in the mining and steel industry will hold their yearly Nigeria Mining Week from October 16 to October 19 at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Center in Abuja.

Stakeholders in the mining and steel industry will hold their yearly Nigeria Mining Week from October 16 to October 19 at the Nigerian Air Force Conference Center in Abuja.

This is coming on the heels of the sectorís preparations to build a competitive and sustainable mining value chain.

The conference, being organised by the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) in partnership with Spintelligent and PwC Nigeria, offers a platform to engage directly with policy makers, financiers and mining investors.

Participants will also gain current information and geophysical data on the resources to explore in Nigeria as it will focus on the changes observed on the road map and how new policies have impacted miners from 2016 to date, among other critical issues.

President of the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), Sani Shehu, will present the welcome address.
Head, Consulting and Mining Industry leader, PwC Nigeria, Cyril Azobu, President,†Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Frank Udemba Jacobs and Managing Director, Promethean Resources, Demola Gbadegesin, will speak at the conference.

The event director, Elodie Delagneau, said with Nigeriaís huge mining potential, the sector was working hard to prepare its road map considering developments in the past 10 months.
