New Kano CP assumes duty, urges officers to shun corruption

THE new Police Commissioner in Kano State, Mr. Muhammad Katsina, has assumed duty with a call on officers and men of the command to shun corrupt practices.

This is contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Magaji Majiya, in Kano yesterday.

According to the statement, the new CP promised to enhance the welfare of personnel to boost their morale and productivity.

“The commissioner also pledged to establish pioneer welfare office in the PRO’s office to look into the welfare of officers affected by sickness, accident or disaster,” the statement said.

It added that the police boss called on the people of the state to give him the support and cooperation given to his predecessors.
