NASENI launches electronic voting solutions, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

The National Agency For Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), yesterday launched two locally made solutions to improve on electoral system in the country and bolster government efforts to diversify into agriculture.

The innovations, an electronic voting solution and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for Agriculture, are also expected to address the country’s social challenges, especially poverty, Vice Chairman of the agency, Mohammed Haruna said. Unveiling the solutions at the ongoing Science and Technology Expo, Haruna expressed concern over the level of poverty in the country, saying that we must develop tailored technology to tackle the challenge.

Haruna disclosed that local research and production of machines and spare parts are guarantees to entrepreneurs that the country possesses all it takes for investors to look inwards for human resources and capacities to sustain their industrial ventures. He urged SMEs to seize the opportunity to widen their enterprises and secure additional source of revenue.

Haruna also appealed to investors to purchase products that where exhibited at the Technology Expo for commercialization.
The product include, the 1st Made in Nigeria jet Engine, Nigeria small Hydropower 1st made in Nigeria Tricycle (Keke NASENI) and a 24 hour cassava flour processing Machine.

Haruna craved for partnership in the journey to revamp the nation’s economy in line with the country’s Medium Term Economic Recovery and Growth Plan as no economy in the world ever developed without leadership of the private sector.
