NAF redeploys 58 officers, establishes new commands

The 58 redeployed officers comprises 25 Air Vice Marshals (AVMs), 20 Air Commodores, five Group Captains, one Wing Commander, four Squadron Leaders, two Flight Lieutenants and one Flying Officer. </p> <p>

As part of its restructuring efforts, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has redeployed no fewer than 58 officers and established two new commands and a branch to enhance its effectiveness. 

The 58 redeployed officers comprises 25 Air Vice Marshals (AVMs), 20 Air Commodores, five Group Captains, one Wing Commander, four Squadron Leaders, two Flight Lieutenants and one Flying Officer. 

A statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya yesterday in Abuja said the newly established commands are the Air Training Command (ATC) in Kaduna and Ground Training Command (GTC), Enugu. 

According to him, the new commands were excised from the defunct Training Command (TC) thereby bringing the total number of commands in the NAF to six.He added that the ATC would be responsible for the implementation of policies on flying and air operations while the GTC would be responsible for the implementation of local ground trainings.
