It will feature various genres of music ranging from classical music, jazz, African traditional music, drama and dance.

At a press briefing yesterday, Vice Chairman of MUSON, Louis Mbanefo said MUSON Music Festival was an important part of Nigeria’s cultural calendar of activities spanning various sectors of the arts. He also explained as false the misconception that MUSON only caters to the music interest of the elite.

Some distinguished Nigerians including Country Chair and Managing Director, Shell Petroleum Development Company, Osagie Okunbor, Head of Energy and Natural Resources, First Bank of Nigeria Capital Plc, Mrs. Rolake Akinkugbe, Deputy Director of MUSON School of Music, Edna Soyannwo and South Africa’s Consul-General, M.S. Monaisa will play major roles at the musical festival.
