ONDO State Governor Olusegun Mimiko has advised medical practitioners in the public health facilities to always prioritise the welfare of their patients and not turn their back on them, especially during crisis.

The governor gave the advice at the Government House, Akure during a dinner in honour of the National Executive Committee members of the Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners.

Mimiko, who opined that no amount of monetary package could quantify the services being rendered by the health workers, noted that any life lost during face-off with government or crisis would never be regained.

He said that his administration has been able to provide affordable healthcare to the people without compromising standard, adding that it has also evolved a system that made the most vulnerable in the society have access to quality healthcare.
