Leading members of the Lord’s Chapel on the humanitarian mission, the Assistant Pastor in charge of Province (Admin) LP23, Pastor Sola Agunbiade, ably supported by Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province (CSR), Pastor Ade Omokorede, noted that the gesture was in fulfillment of the philosophy of RCCG as directed by the General Overseer, Pastor E.A Adeboye who urged all parishes to impact positively on the environment they operate through purposeful corporate social responsibility initiatives.

“By our action, we are carrying some responsibilities of government in realization that government alone cannot provide for all societal needs. As Christians, everywhere we are, we should be able to impact lives. That is why we made it a duty to identify the needs of some institutions in our immediate environment and seek to meet them,” Agunbiade said.

Items donated at the hospital included ECG machine, Oxygen concentrator, Phototherapy machine, wheel chairs, Suction Machine and Omron B2 Basic BP.

Chief Medical Director, Dr. Tayo Lawal, who described the equipment as life-saving, assured the chapel of effective use of the materials. While expressing the hospital’s appreciation for the gesture, he urged other organisations and individuals to come to the aid of the hospital as government alone cannot meet their expectations.

The church also extended a similar hand of fellowship to Araromi Nursery and Primary School and Kiniun Ifa Nursery and Primary School, Gbagada where educational materials including exercise books and school bags were donated to all pupils of both schools. Pastor Agunbiade said this was part of efforts by the church to alleviate the suffering and meet the needs of the students.

The elated Head Teacher of Araromi Nursery and Primary School, Mrs. Adeneye Mujidat and her counterpart at Kiniun Ifa, Mrs. Veronica Osafile, expressed their appreciation on behalf of their schools, praying that God will continue to bless the church.
