SPEAKER of the Kwara State House of Assembly Dr. Ali Ahmad has advised the National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to reflect on issues that culminated into the election of Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Deputy Senate President with a view to avoiding a recurrence.

Ahmad gave the advice in Ilorin while reacting to the decision of the APC’s NWC to make eventually accept the outcome of the election that produced Dr. Bukola Saraki as the President of the eighth Senate.

The Speaker in a chat with reporters in Ilorin explained that it is heartwarming that the Party had decided to face reality and move ahead counselled that primordial sentiment and parochial consideration be avoided on issues that concern the well-being of the party in particular and the nation in general.

Ahmad said what should be primary concern of the ruling party should be how the APC would mend fences and deliver on its electoral promises to ensure that the much anticipated changes Nigerians were yearning for see the light of the day.

The Speaker while soliciting the support of all and sundry for the new leadership of the National Assembly in the task of moving the nation forward, assured that the new leadership of both the National Assembly and the Kwara State House of Assembly would justify the confidence repose in them.
