Kwankwaso picks son-in-law for Kano governorship slot
Confusion amid protest may tear apart the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State following the endorsement of former Commissioner for Works, Transport and Housing during Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s administration, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, as gubernatorial aspirant.
Kwankwaso had at the PDP stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna at the weekend announced his son-in-law and strong political associate, Aminu Abdulsalam, as governor and deputy aspirants.
Kwankwaso’s action has terminated the hope of his political ally and former deputy governor, Prof. Hafizu Abubakar and Malam Salihu Sagir Takai, a former associate of former Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, who are equally pining to contest the governorship seat under PDP.
