Kebbi collaborates with USAID to eradicate diarrhea

In her speech, yesterday, at the launch of the progamme in Birnin Kebbi, the Head of Sustaining Health Outcomes in the Private Sector, (SHOP Plus) and the Chief party, Mrs. Ayodele Iroko, said her organisation’s mission is to save lives, especially children through ensuring diarrhea is eradicated in the state.

She advised parents, especially mothers, to ensure children are kept away from filthy environment, aside maintaining good personal hygiene.

In her response, the wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Zainab Atiku Bagudu, thanked the organisation for choosing Kebbi State.

In his remarked, the Hon. Commissioner for Health, Alh. Umar Kambaza said the SHOP Plus Project has tremendously supported Kebbi State in improving quality and access to maternal and child health.

17 medical personnel were also specifically trained under the Push Diarrhea Away Initiative in the state.
