Julius Berger named Nigeria’s ‘Corporate PR Ambassador of the Year’

The event was held at Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Lagos and attended by the crème-de la crème of the profession, with high-ranking government presence.

The president and chairman of council of NIPR, Dr. Rotimi Oladele, stated that the award to Julius Berger was in recognition of the company’s consistently dignified and “outstanding compliance with public relations benchmarks for excellence”.

A former president and now president emeritus of the NIPR, Dr. Mike Okereke, delivered the public lecture at the event with the theme, “The Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.” Recalling the ease of doing business and living in Nigeria in the 1960s and 70s, he enjoined citizens and residents to rise up and proactively commit to the promotion of brand Nigeria in the nation’s push for real and sustainable development.

Prince Moses Duku, Head Media Relations Office of Julius Berger, who represented and received the award on behalf of the engineering construction company, remarked: “Our company deeply appreciate the award made to us by the NIPR. One word and one word alone truly powers and define the essence of the business and operations of Julius Berger; that word is EXCELLENCE.

I also know that if the NIPR’s Council which from inception till date is widely acknowledged to strictly and irreducibly adhere to its motto of ‘Professionalism & Excellence’ is on its honour and on our merit giving our organization this highly coveted award as her ‘Corporate PR Ambassador of the Year (2017)’, I can only say with tremendous gratitude that regulatory excellence at the NIPR has brilliantly acknowledged operational excellence at Julius Berger.
