The Chartered Institute of Certified Secretaries & Reporters of Nigeria (CICSR), will on November 13, hold its 31st annual national conference/seminar in Enugu to promote corporate governance.

Founder/Registrar of the Institute, Mr. Samuel Ozomah, who spoke with The Guardian, said the theme and sub-themes of this year’s programme are very essential for modern day capacity building and knowledge update.

He said the seminar is a mandatory continuous professional development programme (MCPDP) for official verbatim reporters, confidential secretaries and secretarial assistant officers.

Others are data processors, executive officers and other categories of administrative officers and professionals who hold positions of responsibility.

With the theme, “The Nigerian Official Reporters and Secretaries: Challenges of Office Technology Management and ICT in the 21st Century,” the conference is aimed at ensuring that members get better, get more professional, informed and acquainted with modern trends in the profession.

He said the conference would ensure optimal efficiency and productivity in a complex business environment driven with ICT skills.
