Inner Wheel District 911 installs Shoga as chairman

The baton of leadership of Inner Wheel District Chairman (2018-2019), District 911, has been handed over to Abimbola Oludotun Shoga, at an event that held at Yoruba Tennis Club, Lagos.

The baton of leadership of Inner Wheel District Chairman (2018-2019), District 911, has been handed over to Abimbola Oludotun Shoga, at an event that held at Yoruba Tennis Club, Lagos.

Shoga, a member of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses, Forum for Local Government Nurses & Midwives and Professional Association of Public Health Nurses, joined Inner Wheel in 1994 and had served as chairman of different projects in the district before emerging as District Chairman.

At the event, which was attended by dignitaries, including past District Governors and the immediate past International Inner Wheel World President, Oluyemisi Alatise, Shoga disclosed that her star project will be vocational and skill acquisition training that will empower women to earn a living and contribute to the wellbeing of their households and community at large.

She also promised to empower beneficiaries after training with tools to practice their new skills such as sewing machines, laptop computers, gas cookers with oven, make-up kits and other equipment.

In her valedictory speech, the immediate past District Chairman, Adegbemisola Rufai, who enumerated various projects carried out during her service period, asked Shoga to continue from where she stopped as she wished her success and greater achievement.
