Immigration partners Federal Mortgage Bank on housing scheme
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has partnered the Federal Mortgage Bank on a N59.7 million social loan facility for the officers and men of the service.
Making the disclosure yesterday, spokesman of the NIS, Mr. Sunday James, an Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) said the loan was part of efforts to enhance the welfare package of the workforce for improved productivity.
“So far, 60 officers and men have benefitted from the scheme. The first batch of 10 officers got their benefit on December 22, 2016 to the tune of N9.9 million, while the second batch of 50 officers and men received their own today to the tune of N49.7 million,” he stated.
