TO transparently disburse the N14.152 billion Bailout Fund from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has constituted a committee, comprising representatives of the Head of Service of Abia State, Chairmen of the state Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), State Auditor-General of Abia State or his representative, Accountant General of Abia State or his representative, state Statistician-General and Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Affairs.

Special Adviser to the governor on Public Communication,Mr Sam Hart, who made this known, said the governor directed that the Fund should be disbursed as specified by the Federal Government for the payment of workers outstanding salaries.

He gave the terms of reference of the committee as determination of the exact amount owed public servants in Abia State, actual duration of backlogs owed workers in Abia State, any other issue incidental to salary arrears in Abia State and application of bailout funds for its original intendment.
