IGP Appoints New FPRO, Principal Staff Officer
THE Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon E. Arase, has approved the postings of Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olabisi Kolawole, as the new the Police Force Public Relations Officer.
A statement by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO), Abayomi Shogunle in Abuja yesterday said the appointment of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Olabisi Alofe Kolawole as the new spokesperson for the force will go down as the first female to occupy that position in the history of the force.
Kolewole, who is an acting ACP was the Force Gender Adviser before the appointment to replace Emmanuel Ojukwu, who has been redeployed as Commissioner of Police (CP), Kogi State.
She is a graduate of Nigeria Police Academy, a Law graduate of Ogun State University and University of Leicester, United Kingdom (UK) where she obtained a Masters degree in Police Leadership and Management (PLM).
Until her appointment, Kolawole was the Deputy Director of the Directorate of Peacekeeping, and the Police Force Gender Adviser.
