ICPC inaugurates Kwali anti-corruption unit

To promote transparency and accountability, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has inaugurated an Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) for Kwali Area Council.

To promote transparency and accountability, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has inaugurated an Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) for Kwali Area Council.

Mr. Justin Kuatsea of the Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Department (CMED) of the Commission stated that ACTU, an initiative of ICPC, was created in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to serve as an in-house check mechanism within Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Kuatsea urged the new members to strive for excellence at all times. He also appealed to the Council’s management to provide adequate funding for the sustenance of the unit.

Head, Personnel Management of the Council, Alhaji Lawal Morof promised that his team would do its best in ensuring the Council was free of all forms of corruption.
