Govt pledges commitment to EFA goals

The Federal Government, yesterday, celebrated the 2016 Commonwealth Day with a pledge to guarantee universal basic education to every citizen irrespective of sex, age, status or disabilities.

The Federal Government, yesterday, celebrated the 2016 Commonwealth Day with a pledge to guarantee universal basic education to every citizen irrespective of sex, age, status or disabilities.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu disclosed ‎ this yesterday at the 2016 Commonwealth Day Celebration in Abuja.

The minister stated that as a committed member of the Commonwealth, Nigeria is determined to strengthen its citizens through the provision of quality education at all levels.

He emphasised that the Federal Government is also working insidiously to creating a safe environment for teaching and learning throughout the education landscape.

Adamu explained that the National Policy on Education guarantees education for all without any discrimination or hindrance.
