Gombe promises better maternal, child healthcare services
IN its effort to reduce the maternal mortality rate, Gombe State Goverment has expressed determination to improve on the survival of women and children.
The Executive Secretary of Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Ahmed, disclosed this at the opening of a two-day capacity-building training/meeting held yesterday for stakeholders in the health sector in Gombe State organised by Evidence for Action (E4A).
Gana, who said the rising number of women and children who die in avoidable circumstances is unacceptable, promised government’s support and partnership in ensuring that there is great improvement in the maternal and child health care.
