Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Babatunde Gbadamosi, has emerged as the Lagos State gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

Gbadamosi’s election was consented by members of the party during its primaries at the platform’s Lagos State secretariat.

Also, Mr. Muyiwa Fafowora has emerged as the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state through a consensus party primary.

The Chairman of the electoral committee, Mr. Olugbenga Shobowale, who conducted the election, said he won by affirmation.

In the same vein, former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, has picked the governorship ticket of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).

The former governor, who had lost the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket, has however, directed all his supporters to join ADP.

The directive was issued after his emergence as the ADP’s gubernatorial candidate for Oyo State.

A statement signed by Head, New Media and Public Affairs, Alao-Akala Campaign Organisation, Jeremiah Akande, read in part: “Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala was today issued a Certificate of Return as gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State for next year’s general election.

“This came to being after a ratification exercise carried out on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the party’s secretariat along Mokola Sango-UI Road, Oremeji, Mokola, Ibadan, where Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the party.

“In view of the above, all faithful and loyal supporters of Alao-Akala are hereby enjoined to collapse all structures and groups within the Alao-Akala political family into the ADP with immediate effect.”
