THE Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Winifred Oyo-Ita, has presented national award to two young scientists, noting that the award is a means of encouragement to the field of science.

In a press release made available to The Guardian, Winifred Oyo-Ita who was represented by the Director Health and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Manasseh Gwaza, stated this at the event of African Union-Third World Academic of Sciences Young Scientists National Award in her office in Abuja, yesterday, he said that government is committed to supporting vital research works and meaningful contributions to the national development.
