AFENIFERE leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has urged the youths to jettison the abuse of time management, which is described as “African Time,” an excuse for attending occasions late.

The pan-Yoruba group leader said this at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) recently at a public lecture series on youths and national development, where he noted that the social misdemeanor has been a clog in the progress of the black race.

Fasoranti, who is the former Commissioner for Finance in the late Chief Michael Ajasin’s administration, advised the FUTA Class 15 graduating set of the institution to inculcate effective time management for the developmental of the nation.

The elder statesman, approaching the nonagenarian status in a few days time, noted that many of them would soon have their own establishments and businesses, which demand great deal of accurate time management to be very successful in their respective disciplines.

He also implored them to look beyond waiting endlessly for white collar jobs, but rather engage in entrepreneurial ventures, which, among other things, can be actualized through self-denial, to stem the rising tide of unemployment and uncertainty in the country.

Pa Fasoranti also shared his experiences with them as a poultry farmer, which gave him the proceeds to train two of his children overseas as a successful pharmacist and medical doctor respectively.
