Exhibit lessons of Ramadan, Ganduje urges muslims
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje called on Muslims to continue to cherish the teachings of Ramadan and exhibit its lessons of self-discipline, piety and love.In a statement signed by his Commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, and made available to newsmen in Kano, yesterday, the governor urged Muslims to support the weak and the less-privileged in their daily affairs to attain spiritual uplift and peace.
He also called on Nigerians, irrespective of religion, ethnicity or political inclination, to love one another, live peacefully and selflessly to contribute to the development of Nigeria, noting: “As we approach the 2019 general elections, politicians must learn to be tolerant, accommodating, decent in their utterances and avoid hate speeches to sustain the peaceful atmosphere in the state.”
Ganduje expressed appreciation to the people of the state for their support and goodwill to his administration and expressed his readiness to complete all the major projects and implement the youth skills acquisition and empowerment programme for the wellbeing of the people and development of the state.
