Enugu governor pays tribute to pioneer Vice Chancellor of ESUT



ENUGU State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has described the late Prof. Julius Onah, the foundation Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of
Science and Technology (ESUT), as a motivational father whose examplary life led many people to greater heights.

The governor spoke as eminent Nigerians converged on Orba, Udenu Local Council, Enugu State, during the burial of the first Professor of
Marketing in West Africa. Onah, who died in July, was buried at his country hometown over the weekend.

In an eulogy, Ugwuanyi urged his contemporaries to emulate Onah by distinguishing themselves in their various disciplines and to do everything possible to depict them as role models to the younger generation.

Also speaking, the Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Most Rev. Godfrey Onah, urged people who aspire to achieve greatness on earth to follow the path of sincerity as exemplified in the life of the late scholar, adding that he was a good man.

He observed that Onah’s exemplary leadership and academic prowess reflected by his first positions in various endeavours, which he said, had affected lives of both the small and the great, who had continued to look up to him as a role model even at death.
