The Secretary-General, Lagos Elders Council, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri, has urged residents to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to effect change in the state’s political space. He said the PVCs are necessary to stopping suffering and starvation in the land.

In a statement, yesterday, in Lagos, he said: “Enough of propaganda and lies by politicians. Nigerians need to vote out all the looters holding political office and vote in credible and honest people.”

He noted that Lagosians must express their desire for change by ensuring their votes count. He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to co-operate with the people by issuing PVCs with less stress.

“INEC should also extend its working hours to 7:00 p.m. everyday and weekends, to enable workers obtain their cards,” he said.

“Voters in Lagos should take their destiny in their hands by obtaining their PVCs. Your PVC is the solution to poverty, bad economy, unemployment, insecurity, kidnapping and many other social vices,” he added.
