Ekiti South deserves governorship slot in 2018, says Aluko

Former Senator representing Ekiti South in the Senate, Mr Gbenga Aluko has said†the southern zone of the state deserves the governorship slot in 2018 for justice, fairness and equity.

He noted that aside governorship position, which has been elusive to the southern senatorial zone, federal appointment including, ministerial have also eluded the zone.

Speaking with reporters in Ado Ekiti at the weekend, the APC chieftain said, “I support the agitation for a governor from the Southern senatorial district in 2018. The agitation is credible, deserving and meritorious.

“Even the former governor of this state who is from the northern zone, Dr Kayode Fayemi is an advocate of the south for governor.”

On his ambition to govern the state, Aluko said, though he has been campaigning, if he did not win the primary of the party, he will remain loyal to his party.
