SPEAKER of the House of Representatives, Dogara Yakubu, has joined other Nigerians in mourning the deceased Emir of Misau in Bauchi State, Muhammadu Manga III, who died early yesterday.

Dogara described the monarch’s death as a monumental loss not only to the people of Misau Emirate or Bauchi, but Nigeria as a whole. The Speaker condoled with the family and relations of the deceased and the government and people of Bauchi on the development.

According to him, Manga’s unquantifiable contributions to the development of Nigeria will remain indelible in the minds of both his subjects and others, adding that he would be remembered for his role in sustaining the customs and traditions of the emirate.

The leadership qualities of the late emir, he noted, endeared him not only to his subjects and people but also Nigerians at large.

Dogara urged the family and all bereaved to be consoled by the fact that his legacies would be a source of inspiration to the people.
