Aftermath of the gas explosion, which Friday occurred at the Central Bank in the state, the River state government yesterday condoled with the apex bank and families of those who were affected by the accident.

In the condolence message by the Senior Special Assistant, Communication and Branding, to the governor Dr. Dorn Cklaimz Enamhe Enamhe, he urged all residents of the state, indigenes and non-indigenes alike, to live in harmony as government appreciates their contributions to the growth and positive development of the state.

In a related development, the governor called for the understanding of communities that may be affected by the construction of the 260 kilometers super highway being planned for the state.

He assured them that the on-going projects would create new cities and employment opportunities for residents of the state.

While soliciting for understanding, he urged the non-indigenes to see the state as their home, asking, “If your contribution is channeled towards destroying it, where will you reside or get the needed foothold to do your business.”

Enamhe said it was important that the people appreciate the efforts of government in sustaining the beauty of the state, and tasked them to spend their leisure period and holidays, by visiting the state largely touted tourists destinations.
