Cowbell Mathematics Quiz Begins Today

THE second stage of Cowbell National Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition (NASSMAC), dubbed ‘The Cowbellpedia TV Quiz Show”, will begin today with a total of 108 junior and secondary school students across the country.

THE second stage of Cowbell National Secondary Schools Mathematics Competition (NASSMAC), dubbed ‘The Cowbellpedia TV Quiz Show”, will begin today with a total of 108 junior and secondary school students across the country.

The competition is being promoted by Promasidor. Managing Director of Promasidor, Mr. Olivier Thiry, said the Cowbellpedia TV show was designed to reward and celebrate excellence in the subject area of Mathematics, expressing optimism that the project will heighten the interest of more Nigerian youths in the study of Mathematics and also nurture great future inventors.

The qualifiers, according to the Head of Marketing, Promasidor Nigeria Limited- Mr.Festus Tettey, were shortlisted out of the 34,000 students who sat for 2015 edition of the competition in the first stage.

Briefing journalists in Lagos yesterday, Tettey explained that 54 out of the108 students who qualified for the second stage are junior secondary school (JSS) 3 students, adding that the remaining 54 students are from the senior class.
