The Federal High Court, Abuja Division has fixed Thursday, December 17, 2015 to decide whether or not to grant the bail request of detained director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

After hearing arguments for and against Kanu’s bail application, Justice Adebiyi Adeomola set down that date to deliver his verdict.

Kanu has been in custody of the Department of State Security (DSS) since October this year, when he was arrested by its operatives.

Counsel to the DSS, Moses Idakwo, while objecting to Kanu’s bail application, prayed the court not to grant the accused bail because he was allegedly involved in terrorism acts.

In his reaction, counsel for Kanu, Egechukw Obetta, dismissed the claims of the DSS on the grounds that they were speculative and not supported with any documents to buttress their claim.
