President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of Mr Patrick Akpobolokemi as Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

A press release from the Presidential Spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, on Thursday said the termination of Akpobolokemi’s appointment takes immediate effect.

He is to hand over the management of NIMASA and all government property in his possession to the most senior officer in the agency who will remain in charge until a new Director-General is appointed.

Also President Buhari approved the dissolution of the Governing Boards of Federal Parastatals, Agencies and Institutions with effect from July 16, 2015.

Until the boards are reconstituted, Chief Executive Officers of the affected parastatals, agencies and institutions are to refer all matters requiring the attention of their boards to the President, through the Permanent Secretaries of their supervising ministries.

Adesina in a release said while the dissolution did not affect Federal Executive Bodies listed in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it covered administrative or technical committees and other similar organs established by the dissolved boards

Equally too every idiot and incohensive PhD holder blindly appointed idiots fox without merit but based on regionalisation. How would Nigeria develop with her full potentials when of course we had someone claimed to obtained PhD without aura or charisma or basic economic policies to move the nation forward. Nigerian had a President who can’t analyse differences between governance and religious. By the way what has religious got to do with economic policy? Rather than articulate solid economic policy, such as continuation of liberalisation of the economy that takes root in 2004 in Nigeria, what Nigerians witnessed from 2009 to 2015 was a deodorant politic of appease and redressing. Nigeria economy needs radicalisation

So your Buhari will appoint non-idiots to positions?
We have seen 10 appointments already from him with the latest being Civil Defense and the direction is quite clear.

A necessary sacrifice for the good of the nation. We are still awaiting a major shake up in the police Force.
