Buhari appoints Amaechi head of campaign group

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, as Secretary and Director-General of the campaign organisation for his re-election bid.

Amaechi was the Director-General of the Buhari-Osinbajo Presidential Campaign Committee in 2014 to 2015 that won the election.

A statement signed by Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, yesterday, said the new director-general would announce other appointments into the campaign structure as approved by Buhari.
