Ayade tasks Muslims on development
CROSS River State Governor Ben Ayade has enjoined Muslims across the federation to use the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir to team up with government at all levels with a view to moving the nation to greater heights.
Ayade who made the call in a goodwill message signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press Secretary, Christian Ita, said: “While I congratulate all my Muslim brothers and sisters across the country on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, made possible by Almighty Allah, I want to appeal for your collective support to join hands with the government so that we can pull through current challenges.
“As devout faithful, let us harness our creative energies, our love for one another towards the development of the country by aligning with our President, Muhammadu Buhari, to help realise the dream of the founding fathers for a better Nigeria for all.
“As we celebrate, we must not be unmindful of the lessons of Eid -el-Kabir, being sacrifice, peace and love for our neighbours which are the hallmarks of a true Muslim.”
