Ayade receives garment equipment

THE equipment ordered by the Cross River State government to kick-start its garment factory in Calabar, the state capital have arrived Lagos ports.

The factory is billed to employ a good number of women, especially widows, when operational. To this end, recruitment exercise had been undertaken.

The Special Assistant, Media/Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Ita, in a statement said the tools had undergone routine checks before arriving the site.

According to the release, the 528 units of equipment include industrial sewing machines, automatic cutting machines, weaving machines and accessories.
