APGA chief urges Muslims to support Buhari’s anti- corruption war
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the April general elections in Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has urged the Muslim faithful to cease the opportunity created by the Eid-el Kabir celebration to pray for the continued unity and progress of Nigeria.
In a goodwill message issued by his Media Assistant, Jennifer Ben-Okereke, titled “ There is Light at the end of the tunnel,” in which he felicitated with the Muslim community, Otti charged them to continue to pray for God’s intervention in the nation’s efforts to stamp out insurgency in the North East and restore security, peace and economic growth in the region.
Pointing out that there would be no meaningful development in a violent society filled with blood-letting, Otti who was the immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank Plc, further urged the Muslim community to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to succeed in its war against corruption. He said corruption had destroyed the nation’s socio-economic and political life.
