All is set for the twelfth edition of GOtv Boxing Night holding at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos tomorrow.The event, tagged “Independence Edition” will witness the biggest ever pay-out in the history of Nigerian boxing, as the boxers will earn a total of N20 million in prize monies.

The best boxer of the event will win N2.5 million and Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy, while the two runners-up will win N1 million and N500, 000 respectively.

Organisers of GOtv Boxing Night, Flykite Promotions, have put in place adequate security in and around the stadium to ensure all boxing fans enjoys an exciting evening.

GOtv Boxing Night 12 will feature seven fights, including four international duels and three national challenge bouts.The headline bout will see the African Boxing Union welterweight reigning champion, Nigeria’s Stanley “Edo Boy” Eribo defend his title against Ramadhani Shauri of Tanzania. Also defending his title is Nigeria’s Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi who will exchange punches with Ghana’s Ben “Congo Man” Ankrah in the West African Boxing Union light welterweight title bout.

Nigeria’s Oto “Joe Boy” Joseph will take on Israel Forget Kammwamba of Malawi in the Commonwealth Africa lightweight title contest. Waidi “Skoro” Usman will fight Juma Fundi of Tanzania in an international featherweight challenge contest.

The three other bouts, being national challenge duels, will pit Rilwan “Real One” Oladosu against Samuel “Omo Daddy” Opaogun in the lightweight category; boxing prodigy, Rilwan “Baby Face” Babatunde, will fight Tombraye “Tornado” Christmas in the light welterweight category, while Kabiru “KB Godson” Towolawi will fight Akeem “AK” Adebayo in the light heavyweight category.
